Betsy Braddock moved to Atlanta as a child in 1977. She went to college at the Georgia Institute of Technology and was a member of the Phi Mu sorority. After earning her degree in Management with certificates in Finance and Building Construction, Betsy went to work in commercial real estate for Post Properties, Inc. She worked her way up through management and was passionate about opportunities for challenge and growth. After this, Betsy joined her father at his remodeling company in 1999. Here, Betsy saw an opportunity to move Braddock Built Renovations to the coast of North Carolina in 2007 and is now the sole owner. Her award winning company is one of the only construction firms specializing in renovations in the coastal Carolinas. These many years have only added to Betsy’s passion for her job—helping people is one of her primary objectives in life. In her view, helping people with one of their most cherished assets (their homes) is her significant contribution to her community. Betsy is an incredibly active member of her community and serves on many boards and committees including the Property and Grounds Committee, the Flower Guild, the Columbarium and Memorial Garden Committee, and the Brunswick County Home Builders Association. Betsy is a proud single-mother and dog lover. Beyond parenting, work, and volunteering, Betsy enjoys golfing, gardening, entertaining, working out, walking the dogs, reading, and traveling.
Cathy began her career in management and customer service. She quickly fell in love with helping people understand their wants and needs and finding the right products or services that suit them. The connections she made with her clients was and continues to be her biggest passion. In 1999, she got the opportunity to join Ernie of Ernest G Crews Construction, one of Brunswick County’s premier custom home builders. She had already decorated and built numerous homes of her own and the skills she learned while doing so were put to good use on Ernie's team. After 24 years of learning from what Cathy considers as one of the best in the industry, she has established herself as a proficient construction planner and coordinator. When Ernie decided to retire, Cathy was not ready to stop doing what she loved. So when her friend and colleague, Betsy Braddock, decided to venture into custom home building, she was on board from the beginning and “Braddock Built Custom Homes” was born. Betsy and Cathy have the same vision in mind: to make sure their clients are taken care of and get exactly what they are envisioning for their home, whether it's a renovation or a new custom home. When not working, Cathy enjoys reading, gardening, spending quality time with her family and friends, and going to the beach; especially to watch her granddaughter Bella surf!
